Default Conversion

Got a question that I was wondering....Can a 123 be converted to take on a Quick Attach undercarriage to retro fit a QA deck? I know that almost anything is possible, but I was wondering just how much trouble it would be to do it.

The "Quick Attach" feature is welded to the frame. Thus, you would have to (A) Cut one off a "QA" tractor, or (B) Fabricate this item, then......weld this to the underside of the frame.

Do you want to convert the 123 to QA or can a QA subframe be used on a 123? Roland has the answer. But you can use a QA subframe on a 123 but has to be bolted to the frame.

You should be able to use the QA deck subframe with your bolt on mule drive.

Dad has a 125 that someone cut the QA OFF so he had to bolt on a mule drive from a 123- works but it looks silly.

That's what I was wondering. I have several QA mule drive subframes and decks, but only one pin on dec and subframe. I came across an extra 123 and may sell it, but wanted to sell it as a mower. Thanks so much for the help and advice in this area!! I hope to post some pics of my newly acquired 123 soon.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
