Default 10 hp clean up suggestions

Hey got a 10hp engine that is going to get some new paint and I need to know some good tips and tricks to cleaning it up to lay some paint on it with out a rebuild. The biggest problems i see is cleaning fins and all the other little crevices. Also got to pull a seized bolt out of the oil pan. will put a pic of the before pic in a bit eventually going into a 108 that i have been requested/volunteered to finish the restore and put together.

This is a good start. I believe its about 5-6 bucks at Advanced Auto. I'am using it on the IH Cub Cadet 72 Project. Works great!

Default PuPo

Purple Power is good stuff.... noticeably better than others. Two thumbs up!

John

PS: A pressure washer is useful too, but needs to be used judiciously

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
