Default Project 108

Well my latest project got delivered this morning. It's an 108 that's needs some cleaning and some minor paint touch up. The hood is in awesome shape, no dings or dents. The PO passed away a couple of years ago and it's been sitting my buddies shop and he wanted it out of his way. The price was right and delivered to my door from 3 hr drive away for no extra cost. I'm going to need to reline the brakes using the method in the tech section of the site, order decals and some small part painting. I'll have to clean everything before assembly. All of the loose parts are in the blue tubs and he'll make good on any missing parts.

On to the pics! THe pics are of it in my trailer so I can roll them into my garage when I start the assmebly of it.

Now that's the way to start a project. You should have a roller in a couple of hours.

Thanks Mike! I think this is going to turn out pretty nice!
I'm real happy with the tins and paint work so far. The paint was sparyed on several years ago so should be nice and hard now.

I hope so! I've got to go dig out my rear tires for it. I've got to paint the good running 10hp from the 100 I've been trying to sell. I'm going to paint the motor black as I like the looks of a black motor.

Most of us don't get to start in on them in kit form like this! Should be a nice tractor project. Parts look very clean ans straight too. We will be watching.
Regards,
Chris

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
