We do have a clothes driver but its upstairs in the bathroom and I work in the basement. I will see what I can do. Would Posting an ad in the wanted section for a welder be against the rules?

I think it’s rather unlikely that you will find a forum member in your area that wants to sell a welder. I’d look on C-list in the tools section.

I wouldn't think so, but I am sure someone will tell you if it is!

I saw 2 or 3 today on CL within 60 miles.

Nice find on the O. Nice to save another one from the "woods". You can tell she's been sitting for a while. Tires are sunk some. Otherwise, looks to be a great candidate for a worker or trailer queen. Congrats!

Anyone seen an oil bath like that? With a wing nut on the bottom and not a wire bail?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
