My Second O
Well I got a tip from one of the other members on here that he saw an CCO go up for sale last night right down the road from both of us. I called the guy this morning and went and looked at it and picked it up tonight. It is a little rough. It has been sitting in the woods for the last 25 years, It has the original 7HP engine in it and I can turn it by hand. This one wont get a proper restore, it will probably be a worker if I can get it running, but I will clean it up a little. It came with an extra hood and the cast iron grill and insert but not installed and a chrome emblem and oil bath cleaner. It is a 1961, SN 10167
Here are some pics from the CL listing... http://i812.photobucket.com/albums/z...psd18046eb.jpg http://i812.photobucket.com/albums/z...pse13917a6.jpg http://i812.photobucket.com/albums/z...ps90d3837d.jpg http://i812.photobucket.com/albums/z...ps2846924e.jpg http://i812.photobucket.com/albums/z...ps74b49451.jpg http://i812.photobucket.com/albums/z...ps56484152.jpg |
Cory,
Congrats on the "new" O!! It may be in pretty good shape! Let us know as you rebuild it! |
Nice find
you did say it was ruff. I saw that also on cl,I figgered you would get it. |
I agree ....looks not too bad at all.
I'm amazed how these things can run and run well after years of neglect. That'll make a fine machine to use! |
Hopefully it will run! :beerchug:
|
You will prolly get it running, but getting it to move after twenty five years under its own power is another story.
You were able to move it shows there is no water frozen in the tranny . |

I just saw that today on craigslist. I thought it was a decent price.

Nice find Cory! Those are sweet looking rear tires! Collared spindles, so its definitely a 61. Steering won't be a huge issue. Not too far behind my 61 as far as serial #'s go.
