Looks great Jude. I thought maybe I should give that 70 a good home, figured I could grab it when I go see Lew in a couple weeks . I don't know I found a really nice yellow and white 582 with a cast rear end in it today for a great price . Just don't have enough room . It would look really nice beside the red one though. Anyway looks great can't wait to see it all cleaned up.

Thanks Eric & Mike I'm sure the 70 would be at home in your stable Eric! If you get it that would be sweet, I will have one someday.

Here's a few more pics of it, just got done cleaning it a bit. Went to change out the spark plug and I think it's the original one, I couldn't get the plug to break free. Finally I did and the top half broke off pulling it out. She starts right up with new plug in and gonna see how it does on the lawn here, it's getting a bit high as my landlord is recovering from surgery. I pulled all the "pop drops" out of the weight box, took a good hour to do! Have a 5 gallon bucket filled with them and it's extremely heavy. Got to get the serial # yet, weight box is blocking it. Also buried in the weight box was a nice set of tire chains and a nice chain & hooks!

Jude, great tractor. I can't wait to see it.
I hope I don't regret picking it up but as you know I had to make a choice and I picked the 70 with Danco loader. Should be picking it up in a week or two.

Again, GREAT TRACTOR!!

Thanks Rob! I do know one thing, I won't regret you not getting it And you're more than welcome to come on up, anytime! Give me a call.

Max, did clean up nicely, still a good bit of cleaning to do. Haven't named any of my tractors yet, yet

Thanks jlampe94! It is original paint, this tractor was never worked on, just oiled and greased Was only used for mowing in summer, which are short here

Anyone know about the rear Grote? It's white and looks like original paint. Is that how they came?

Nice grab Jude. Good things come to those who wait! I'm still waiting, and waiting and waiting
The Grote that came on my 122 was painted yellow, I thought it was original color, but not sure. Have fun, it's a heck of a feeling getting a "new" tractor, I'm going to lay down till that feeling goes away for now.
Congrats

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
