Just got to check back after a crazy weekend. Thanks for the part numbers on the bronze bushings, I will check on those. I looked at the rubber ones like the ones you have dark, and the ones at Ace looked to large so I got one that is not tapered. Haven't even had time to try to stick it in. May be tonight, got the series 60 Detroit running late Sat, have to put the hood back on this morning and try to catch up on two weeks of missed work so hopping to get mower running soon, yard is starting to talk about a clip, will be screaming soon!

Ok, sorry for the delay! Below is a pic of the washer I used. It's flat on both sides and is 29/64" in size. It's made by BrassCraft and the part # is SCB2142. Cost me .79 and was purchased at an Aubuchon Hardware. It also says 000L on the washer

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
