|
OK, guys, what are the odds of the coil going bad right after I replaced head gasket? Well, I had plenty of gas in gas tank, using same plug before I had head gasket issues. So, first I checked on/off switch for continuity (OK), then checked for spark (no spark) Then swapped out working coil from my original to the 100, It fired up up within seconds. Conclusion: bad coil. Thanks for the input. Grass is getting cut, once again.

Just for giggles, after the grass is mowed, shut it off and swap the "Bad" coil back to see if it is really a bad coil.
I've seen stranger things. Son has a 149, and the wire coming out of the condenser had broken off, but remained in the hole in the condenser. It ran well till it decided to act up when it wanted too. He chased that intermittant a long time and found it quite accidentally. When it ain't broke you can't fix it so to speak.
