Of the 5 cyclops tractors i have used, not one had a sticky valve.
Try this... loosen the bolts that hold the valve to the dash, then give it a go. Sounds crazy, but it actually works. Not sure why, maybe too much stress on the aluminum valve body?

I don't use my Cub. I just work on it and look at it. So far it's holding up very well.

I had a sticky valve happen on a 782 I used to own. It was stuck in one position or the other and when my wife went to use it, said she could not adjust the deck height. I saw the problem immediately and recentered the other lever. After the mowing was done, I took another look at it, and by moving the lever through its range several times it freed up. I figured it was just due to not enough use.
