My thoughts are, that an O's speed, could be adjusted some what, by a different , pulley combo, as it is belt driven. We are obviously talking about more than just some slight mods, in this direction of thinking. But, I have never been happy, leaving the factory engineer's plans in place. I think of actual usability, for the intended use, not just cost and ease of production. (I have worked in factory production) Field use, many times, brings out better ideas.
At this point, I am just being an arm chair engineer, as I haven't actually begun work on mine. I'm still working on the 782 and 169. And, very slow progress it is.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
