Nice 0. if mine sets outside for a week. I'll need to tap on the clutch to get it to let loose. Then its good till the next time it rains and it sets for a week or so.

One point of advice... Take LOTS of photos of every part before you dismantle. Really nice to have them to refer back to when putting back together.. As for the wiring harness, there are not to many wires so it will be easy to make your own wiring harness.

Nice 4 digit O. Its a shame about all the crazy bad engineering of putting a different s/g on that's not the right rotation but it won't take too long to make it right. Seems it would have been less work to put a recoil starter on!

The bracket you need for your early O would be the U shaped one.

Dad mounted a S/G that he didn't know was backwards on his 125 once; hit the key and gas started coming out the carb. through the air filter. I'm not sure where he got it but he isn't currently using it to say the least.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
