Also be careful of when you stop owning things and things own you.
But you need passion in life. I know people who have no passion for anything. I have a friend who cannot see beauty or craftsmanship in anything if it doesn't serve him in a practical way.

I paid $1500 for a five year old 108 with a 42 inch deck in 1978. That was a huge sum for us at the time. I knew (from my father in law who had a 128) that they were quality machines, but I never imagined I'd still be using it 35 years later. To get similar durability in a modern tractor, you'd have to pay $12000 today I think. At least that's what my BX23 (w/o backhoe and loader) cost, and that was 8 or 9 years ago.
I feel the same way about my 108 that you do about your 122.
