vartz04: You have a nasty stubborn problem with that pin
 . I have knocked out many of them without allot of effort with the use of a roll pin punch and PB Blaster, a good thing to look at is as one person alluded to of a broken pin and the shaft turned inside the collar. Try a pickle fork between trans housing and collar and give it a few taps and see if it moves a little. (I had big problems too until I went to roll pin punches)

If your going to use carbide remember the pins are hard, run the drill dry do not use oil (use air to clear the hole)
  , let the drill bit cut and don't use pressure on the drill. If one breaks make sure all pieces of the broken drill are cleaned out before you drill again. Make sure you have 2 spares in case one breaks, you will need them in the future if you don't break them here.

just an fyi. if you have a left over points push rod. it works good for the pin in the front axle.
