Worked on the 100 tonight a little. Started it and let it get up to temp. to do some adjusting of the carb. Running real good. Then I went into the house for supper and came back out. OIL on the floor
![]() What the h%&@? Lifted it up and seems to be leaking from the left rear corner of the oil pan. It dripped down on the frame then to the floor. I screwed something up again, DANG! So I'm thinking I'll need to pull the engine again, that's not what I was looking forward to, but it's all a part of building something from the ground up, I know it should only be done once, but I'll look at it as a learning thing, can never know to much I guess. But I just don't understand what could be wrong, other than the pan gasket, I'm sure I torqed the pan bolts, and used the same ones, so their not a different bolt that could of bottomed out, nothing like that. Well I'll have to check into it more later, sorry so boring, but I needed to vent, hopefully tomorrows road trip will calm me down some.

That sucks! Just remember that you are doing this because it is fun and it makes you happy. Going back to fix stuff is never fun, but it is an unfortunate part of our hobby. At least you aren't counting on the machine to make a living.
Chin up! It will be fine.

Went out to the shop and took the front off the 100, but just made me about sick looking at it, so I'm in the house and going to watch the All Star race on Speed tonight.
Duke, the pan was fine when I took it off, and I never did anything to it that I remember. I'm hoping I just messed up the gasket as I put it on, don't know how I could of messed that up, but somethings wrong, that ain't right

Must be you put it on dry then? No big deal at all. Just use a new pan gasket and Permatex Indian Head gasket cement.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
