Here's the plate on my 125, left side of the housing where the left axle tube bolts on.

The "extra" bracket on the back of your 122 is probably hiding your plate. I couldn't get a picture of my 122 as the tiller mount is covering it.

The plate on my 102 is on top of the rear on the flat spot.

Here's a very useful guide for finding serial numbers.

Default Wow! that's a lot of good info!

I appreciated the link to the serial # placement. It is probably hidden like you say on my model 102 by the hom-fabbed-hitch-rig. I'm not surprised that the casting number on the tranny is the same on mine and upside down. I missed the small square lock up front of the casting number. Really,...I shouldn't have a problem using all those pics to find something,...so OFF I GO! Manny

Default I.D. issues

Thanks for the pictures and the link to the forum guide to id. I have absolutely no plate on the rear housing. I do have a square pad on the casting near the 'dana' number of the tranny but it is smooth as glass, with no sign of any number stamp. i'll have to use acid to remove the paint and maybe it somehow glazed over the indented numbers, but I'm doubtful

worst case scenario, could a guy cross reference the Kohler serial and reverse-find the unit number it had been attached with? I DO HAVE THAT. If I find a number, I'll go to the seller and get a proper sales form, then to the ins. agent and get a street plate for it.

like the trucks were there line setting tickets?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
