My 102 (first foray into cadet fun)

here are some pictures in a photobucket file for your (our) fun:

I believe I'm in the right area, thanks to Dwayne and his great help. I felt 30 years younger today, as I "played with my toy" as my wife put it!! God is good. He allows us old fogies to be like a kid and have some good ol' fashioned fun. I welcome any advice you guys have for me and help to achieve my lawn mowing and plowing goals. Manfred:beer2:

first q? already!

How old is my machine in the above post--see the pics? and where do I find a number and plate of any kind. The Kohler has a number, but I think that is just the motor, or an I mistaken? Manny

Your link is bad in the first post, it's incomplete.
Here's the one I copied from the Intro section

I have a model 122 ( 12 hp version of your machine ) and mine was made in 1966. If you have the serial number off the plate on the rear, you can check yours out too here http://onlycubcadets.net/forum/showthread.php?t=7114 .

Great 102...the engine sounds really good too. It's good to have some toys to keep us having fun and enjoying life.

Welcome!

Great video. I'm impressed with the courage you have to park on top of a storm drain! If I had done that my ignition key would be down the drain before I knew it.

Have fun with the cub. This is a great place for advice - check the technical section to find a link to an owner's manual and a service manual. Invaluable aids. My 104 tends to "lose" something each time I run it. I'm getting to know the parts vendors pretty well. Be prepared.

Someone posted regarding the small plate in the back, with the serial number. I looked right past mine twice before I saw it.

Have fun with the 102.

id plate in back???

I could not find any plate ANYWHERE and I really looked at the back. There is a casting stamped number (upside down) on the tranny, but that is a dana number. really,...dunno what year I bought. at this time it's just a guess.
