Well, heres some pics gents of the tractor almost finished...3 months at her hard too....lots of goodies on this one too much to list as every system has been torn apart, gone through and, some upgraded...wont want to get her dirty but thats what shes for...wanted it to last forever and go to my boys someday....waiting on exhaust valve at the moment, and still cant find the right seat (dont like the tall ones) and the rest just dont even come close... the last pic is the stainless tool stock drive shaft, and stainless pivot pin i made for the front axle...i figure with the washer welded on the, it will keep the channel from migrating...ill keep posting...and thanks for all the insight i attained from you all....

Every fastener on here (well 8s or under) is stainless...cub delorean...1" spindles, religned brakes, heavy carrier, steering upgraded, the 50" deck is almost to paint....hoping this mar-glas will last.. it was rough and LOTS of welding....i have some gt spindles for it and some other goodies, ill get pics once its done and also of the motor and some other things as well...the one pic is the cast iron oil pan and gov gear i got from a friend of mine...motor turned out to be VERY low hours, didnt even need a bore....crank didnt even have to get ground, all was well under wear limits...everything was tanked, fluxed, polished, seats done, head knocked down, new kohler rod, piston, valves, made some custom pieces, etc....mustve just suffered from a lean condition...throttle shaft was worn (p.o wasnt lying)....anyways, has been alot of fun, might take her to the badger steam and gas show this year with my old mans stuff, before she goes to work....

I need to build you one of these with the exception that it be built specifically for the quietline tractors.
http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/s...ad.php?t=31783 Looking sweet. Good job. Where did you get the tail lights? Are they stock for that tractor or are they for another tractor? Or are they something else?

Thankyou.....Yeah i like that, i already have a stainless tip (sch 40) on a repacked quietline exhaust can, ill post a pic when i get the motor in...gonna skip the box i think so im mounting it differently...heres some detail pics....the gauges light a greenish tint but the cream matches the paint to a tee...got lucky since they were free....the tail lights are from napa, and i have them wired to a flasher...the remote grease zerk is great for the steering box...i definitely recommend...

That is exceptional, great work. The washer on the steer pin is a great idea, never thought of that but makes sense.

Do those later mule drives work on a 1/8, 1/9 and Quietline series? I have one and when I mounted it it seemed that the pulleys were to forward from the pto so the belt was at quite an angle. Not sure it would work that way.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
