Default Headlight Harness

Can someone post a pic up of a headlight harness on a 73 / 127.

I need to make one and wanted to see an original one so I can duplicate it.

First, let me say, that I do not own a model within the 1x6/7 series of Cubs. Based upon what I have seen on other series of Cubs, I would venture an educated guess, that there is no "headlight harness". I suspect, that there is a single 14GA Yellow Wire that connects to each end of the Main Harness at the purple wire connectors, as it travels through the "tunnel" area..

I would simply get some 14MTW GA wire in Yellow and a few terminal connectors, an inline fuse holder, a light switch, and wire up as indicated in the Wiring Diagram.

Now, it is not to say, that one can not find the actual wire that IH made for their lighting kit but I would guess this maybe a tad difficult.

One could try the Sponsors above and place a Want Ad in the Classified Section to see if any can be found.

I'd go with Roland on this one.... The light harness I got for my 127 was as described by him. I've saw a few more harness pictures looking on flickr and they are all the same way.

Since this post is related to lights, where does one BUY the rubber type cushion for the lights? Can't seem to find them?

I took my headlights out to replace them & the rubber gasket that
I'm assuming it's to absorb vibration, & it fell apart in itty bitty pieces of garbage.

Any suggestions if those gaskets aren't available?

I would think that they are IMPORTANT?

Thanks in advance,

Nik,

Nik:

I would look at your Ag or Farm Implement Stores and/or Suppliers (ie: TSC).

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
