I am new to the sight and just getting started on my 1st Cub. I am really interested in mounting dual wheels on the rear of my 1450. I can not seem to find anything on how to go about doing that, and also how big of a tire I will be able to fit

Extreme motor works makes the adapters. You can put as big a tire as you want.
Here is the link for adapters: http://www.xtrememotorworks.com/Part...0and%20Weights

While you can fit as big of tires as you like, depending on what size dual wheel adapters you buy, I wouldn't go with anything larger than dual 8.50s. Larger ones will be hard on the axles, and there really just isn't a point to going any larger, anyway.

Hellow motochris35! Glad to have you as a member here! I myself like the duels and there is two ways that I know of on how to mount duel wheels. First, look up ACecil's photo album, then check out mine! Some think my duels are over-kill, but I love them any way!

I have dual 10.50's on my 1650. they are useless but look cool. I made my own adapters similar to the ones xtreme makes.

Be sure to run the outer tires at a lower air pressure to avoid breaking the axle flange.

What size tires are you running? What would the over all width be of a dual assembly? What is the gap between the tires? What is the over all width with singles vs duals Sorry to make you get the tape out but I love the look and want to duplicate it someday Josh

I rolled 1/4X2 inch flat stock in ring that fit just inside the rim of the wheel then used ready rod to make two bolts per wheel long enough to reach through both wheels and tightened them down. This was for a sears 10 horse custom and worked great for several years of gardening. I did find that when chains were used the gap between the tires was not enough for two sets of chains and one set was of no use as it would dig in the snow and the tire with out chains on would float. That meant no traction at all.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
