SG rotation
I have a '68 125 and I'm rebuilding the SG. I installed new bearings, brushes, brush springs, and wire studs. I wanted to make sure I didn't put in the bushes backwards.
1. Can someone verify that the SG rotates counter clockwise standing in front of the tractor. 2. I wondered if the new bearings require oil as they appear sealed? 3. The one stud replacement proved most difficult. I couldn't get the wire to unsolder off the end of the old stud. It was a very thick cooper standed wire. I did get it off the stud and it proved just as hard getting the new stud soldered on. The other stud and a single strand wire and was no problem at all. My old studs had lost most of the threads due to wear and I couldn't get a tight connection so I decided to rebuild the whole unit while apart. Craig

CCW from the front is indeed the correct rotation. A simple way to prove this, disconnect spark wire and turn off fuel. Turn it over and use your hand to see that air is comeing out of the muffler, not being pulled in. The other questions I am not able to answer. Good luck!! Merry Christmas and a happy new year!
