Default Lights for an original

Last weekend, I grabbed a spare light switch for a NF and looked at my original lights that have been lying around for the past year as I debated to drill holes in my grill frame of my restored original, then I decided it was time to take a more serious look at installing them. After all, I could always find an original grill frame if I wanted to put it back. So, I went looking for a hole to install my light switch in on the left side, like the NF's, but did not see any. Can anyone tell me where the light switch for an original should be installed or where the IH recommended it be installed? Thanks in advance!!

Thanks Sminkey......As I kind of suspected, I have to drill a hole, which I'd rather not do. Think I might give this one some more thought and maybe engineer a bracket that could make use of some pre-existing screws/bolts!!!

I am determined to add lights to my projects. I've been tinkering in thought about how to do this?

I really don't want to drill any holes or buy the adapters & lights that I see on E Bay, way to much $$ that I don't wanna sink in.

But I gotta have lights. I just thought of how many times I've plowed with my rinky-dink crapsman & to keep ahead of the snow it seems I always plow at night at least once or early morning.

I have some fog lights from a car that were NEVER mounted. They would mount perfectly as described in 'Sminkey's post' which i will use & improvise as I see fit.

Thanks for the post & info,

Nik

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
