Talking building a homemade hard cab for my 127

here it is in the middle stages of progress. didnt have to drill any new holes in the tractor to mount this. used the foot rest plate holes in the front and holes in the frame in the rear. frame is all 1 1/2 angle iron and slotted angle. stainless steel sheet metal roof, and luan 1/4 finish plywood for the skin. will be making doors soon and purchasing lexan for the windows. also mounted a second fuel tank to the front of the cab for extra gas. i will be using the cub for residential snowblowing all winter so its handy having extra fuel. let me know what you think and any questions or ideas you may have.

Looks good! I need to do something like that one of these days for my 782. I'm tired of getting covered in snow every winter.

Can the lift handle go all the way down?

Yes it can, you'll see a rubber flap in the front for the brake and the lift lever to pop through.

Both the cub and cab look great!! I like your IH painted in your front grill---nice touch. I was thinking about making a soft cab for my 149, I have two soft doors from a jeep and they seem to fit fairly well to the sides above the fenders. Can't wait to see your finished product!!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
