Fuel shutoff
Being old school, I like to stop an engine after it idles for a bit. The CH20 in my 782 did not like to die when it was hot at idle. I had to push the throttle up past 2000 rpm, then turn off the key, otherwise it would diesel, sometimes it seemed to run backwards. Why not use the fuel shut off valve to stop the fuel to the engine? I drilled a hole next to the ignition switch, run wires to the solenoid, and hooked up the wires with the switch in series with the solenoid. The connector on the solenoid made the hookup very easy. Now when I finish mowing, push the throttle to idle, wait a few minutes, and turn off the toggle switch. About 10 seconds later the engine runs out of fuel and stops. I just got to remember to turn off the ignition switch after it stops and turn on the fuel switch before trying to start it.

That is a good idea Richard. It also stops the backfiring out of the muffler.
