Default *crosses fingers* 102 being delivered in 2 days

Hopefully I'll be the proud owner of a 102 on Tuesday. Guy said it was "refurbished" 8 years ago but might need some "TLC" to run again. I asked him what he meant and he said new battery and possibly carb cleaning. Nothing new to me, it seems like everything I get needs a carb cleaning or new carb lol.

No deck, but it does have an implement lift on the back and the Chevron tread rear tires like a tractor should. I'm excited!!!

Looks like the delivery is delayed due to rain, but he did say it's mine he won't sell it to anyone else. I'll post pics once I have it!

It's finally here! He included a new set of points, 2 ignition coils, and the front PTO clutch. It's missing the actual lever to engage the front PTO but I can get that later since it don't have a deck

Looks good. The seat looks to be in pretty good shape.

Yeah it's all in good shape considering it's nearly 60 years old. I never knew the seat was all rubber lol. Looking forward to tearing into it this weekend and get it running, then do an oil change. Engine does turn by hand so that's good

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
