Guys I got my relief valves back from MachTech today and put them in. Ordered parts from Cub Cadet Specialties a week ago so still waiting on them to arrive. I bought both trunnion springs and their retainers, the flap to release my relief valves, the grommet that goes around the hystat release lever, 6 .005” shims for the hystat controls and a cam lever bushing. This should improve my hystat feel and performance. More pics coming soon.
What’s the shipping time usually for CCSpecialties for southern addresses? I ordered 7 days ago, but they don’t have tracking like scamazon or FleaBay. I sent an email but they haven’t responded yet. |

What I find amazing, is that we live in the year of 2023, and have high speed computers, and technology, yet the Pony Express from 1860 could deliver a package quicker than the 2023 USPS.
I get packages all the time with my HVAC/R business and this is my experience. USPS is absolutely the worst. The only thing they offer is an attractive price and a billion excuses. Next up the ladder is FedEx. If they can find a driver and keep them for more than two weeks, they might be a good carrier. At the top, hands down, is UPS. Most stable and reliable BUT....the most expensive way to ship. You get what you pay for. As far as CC Specialties, I know Charlie quite well, and have so for about 20 yrs. He ships daily and uses the carrier specified by the customer. Once it leaves his shop, as one should know, it is out of his hands. I don't know the circumstance of your order, but Charlie would know. Perhaps and email or a call would give you some information.

Shipping was $10, but I didn’t see an option to choose shipping. Next time I’ll ask for UPS.

Charlie said it went USPS. I’ll definitely ask for UPS ground next time. My parts shipped out on the sixth. Hopefully they’ll be here today.

When a Seller advertises a price, I always ask who the Carrier is, and type of service one gets, for the advertised price. It is quite revealing.

Same here. I was given no option for shipping carrier. My experience with this company was mediocre at best. We'll leave it at that.

I guess I’ve been spoiled by FleaBay. There’s always tracking info.

I have been screwed over by eBay Sellers numerous times. That is why I ask.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
