Two quick questions

Well first thank you Matt G. for helping me get my 582S to work. i replaced the clutch arm and readjusted the carburetor and the tractor runs like a beauty.

Well I was wondering how the mower deck on the 582 Special could be adjusted?
Me and my uncle both think its a bit to low cause at the 5th setting, it is pretty much touching the ground.

how much would it be to replace the gear box?
We drove it out a little today because we finally got it back together and i tried first gear and it only moved forward not even an inch and didn't move anymore. the other gears worked fine though and the belt didn't slip off.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
