169 serial number
Bought a 169 last year. Was looking at the serial number. I think this baby was made around the last of the run of production. I have failed at finding how to read the rest of the number 205 is garden tractor? and 0048 i can not find i did find 0038 is a 107 not sure on what the U is or meaning, 523921 is September or early October. I'm think think that's what i read. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. I'm hoping 0048 is a 169. Thank you in advance!

Thank you bill682. I'am very relieved it is a 169.
Here are a few pictures. Sadly it does not have the original 16 hp engine. Someone put bolts in where the pins go for the drive shaft. The starter pulley is unknown. It has the hydro lurch. I picked this up by Lansing Michigan. The gentleman was asking 350.00 I drove about 100 miles and we settled on a price of 300.00. Picked up my second cab off Facebook market place. Lucky for me it was 20 mins from my home. Settled on a price of 225.00, with a well used but still functioning qa42 blower. Just put the cab on a few days ago. Going to work out all the bugs.
