Default Would you buy this???

This is at an estate sale tomorrow, I am out of room to keep it stored.
It is a porter cable riding mower. Looks like it is missing the hood.

Yes! They can be very rare to find. It is either a 1959 or 1960 Porter Cable Yardmaster Mark 26. Definitely a collectors item

I recently found an EXTREMELY rare 1959 Toro Pony (only one has sold in the past 25 years), and brought it back to life. I kept the patina look to it. Everything works great, it has a 26” blade, 2 speed forward, 2 speed reverse, 7 mower deck heights.

If you were closer, a lot closer, I would buy it from you if you ended up buying it.

Thanks! I sold the Toro to one of my good customers, and he actually mows his yard with it believe or not!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
