Default Almost silly or stupid KT17 II question(not important)
Just wondering on a 2 cylinder with a dual coil when it fires on the compression stroke is the other plug firing on the exhaust stroke? I was thinking it would have to work that way.

So if one half of my dual coil goes bad (has no spark), I could take an old auto spark plug wire, cut the distributor boot off, strip it and shove the end up under the boot of the good firing plug, put the other end on the plug that was not firing and mow happily off into the sunset?

I put a Harley Davidson coil onto one of my GT19s that had a coil die to corrosion because it had been sitting so long before I rescued it. including new points, condenser, decarbon job, and carb overhaul its one of the easiest starting machines I have ever had.

Interesting thought, but no distributor. Prolly weaker spark off of single coil firing two plugs. What are you thinking?

Usually those style coils have separate secondary winding's for each plug.
But one primary winding inducing the current in them.
I'm thinking if you just splice the plug wires together, the current will take the least path of resistance, and not fire both plugs @ the same time, just firing the least resistance plug.
As mentioned, there are other coils that are lesser price than OEM klub kibbits

C'mon humor me.... one plugs fires on ocason, so does the other, so its's runn'n a a tad rough. Can I finnish mowwin? (remember the no dum question thing)
