Just wondering on a 2 cylinder with a dual coil when it fires on the compression stroke is the other plug firing on the exhaust stroke? I was thinking it would have to work that way.

I put a Harley Davidson coil onto one of my GT19s that had a coil die to corrosion because it had been sitting so long before I rescued it. including new points, condenser, decarbon job, and carb overhaul its one of the easiest starting machines I have ever had.

Usually those style coils have separate secondary winding's for each plug.
But one primary winding inducing the current in them. I'm thinking if you just splice the plug wires together, the current will take the least path of resistance, and not fire both plugs @ the same time, just firing the least resistance plug. As mentioned, there are other coils that are lesser price than OEM klub kibbits koils ![]() |
