how many pounds are you talking? On my GT2544 I've got fluid filled tires and up to 75lbs in weights on each side depending on where I'm mowing.

Which kind of plowing are we talking about? Moldboard or snow-dirt removal?
Moldboard plowing: 149-100 pounds (sitting on seat) on right side/left side-140 pounds including dual. 100-65 pounds on both sides 86-150 pounds on left side and 100 to 120 on right side Plowing snow: 149-100 pounds on each side. Have a blade for 100.....needs paint before I use it. |

I run 2 50lb. weights, one on each side. Then I have a cool 7- 10lb. steel lifting weights on the back of my custom hitch along with a 12ft. 3/8 logchain over the back. Then I'am about 185lb. Dont think I can get away with only my 4-link tirechains because the IH 42" pushblade is respectably a heavy outfit and I may just spin. I dont care to overload my machine too much because it only wears it out quicker in my opinion. Just hard on everything in general, but if you never had a problem....run-whatch-ya brung!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
