Why wouldn't you just buy one and bolt it on?

I've got one awaiting install on a tractor, so I can get you some measurements as soon as I can get out to the shed and take some pics.

Thanks for all the help. The reason I wont buy one is because i'm a cheap 14 year old and we have a lathe and milling machine on the farm so why not get some more practice.

Good for you! I like building things instead of just buying!

Be sure to post some pics for us to see.

I don't blame you for wanting that build one! Especially if you have the tools and the ability! I built mine for my wide frame and have less than $30 in it. Like was said, you get much more satisfaction from doing it yourself! If you do not have the tools, ability and time for can see buying one already built.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
