Default Haban 325 mule drive and lift rebuild

Just as the title says. Been working here and there on rehabbing a mule drive for Haban 325 deck. Got the mule drive done. Moving on the the lift. Welding and grinding when I get time.

I took everything to bare metal that I could get at. The mule drive had very little wear but the glorious Cub paint was flaking off here and there and some rust was started. A pair of new pulleys and got it all back together this morning.

In between paint drying I had my brother build up worn areas of the center lift. I finished stripping paint this morning. The front Hanger area is not 100% yet.a little more weld and grind is in order. Then need to square things up. The lift arms are a bit tweaked. It had some pretty good wear on it. These old decks got the pi$$ beat out of them.

Looks great Steve!!
My 374 was in the same shape... good bit of welding, grinding, shaping, and drilling got it back in shape though!
Amazing how much quieter it is now!

Looks great.
Somebody ran that one like a regular deck I'm guessing, not on the wheels.

Put some more time in stripping paint this morning. Even had time to splash some primer. Still need a little more welding on the other lift piece. Slow and steady.....

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
