Default New Addition, 982

Just bought a 982 this morning. Isn't running at the moment but has lots of potential. Three point, PTO, front hydraulics. Came with a 48 inch tiller, 54 inch dozer blade with hydraulic angle, and a 50C deck. The engine was replaced a few years ago by a local dealer. It's a Linamar engine, anybody know anything about them? The book came with it, it's evidently a Canadian brand. All the other manuals were with it too.

Haven't had a chance to look it over good yet, probably be a day or two.

Tried to include pictures but it keeps coming back saying the "connection was reset" any ideas?

Is it an IH or CCC tractor? Either mway still great machines, seems like the CCC ones have all the options in my experience anyhow. Congrats on an awesome tractor, you'll love it

It is an onan, just different stickers after it went to canada.
Today Cummins owns them.

Thanks ACecil and Rmowl and ol'George and Dirty
Steve. It's an IH not CCC. One of the pictures I tried loading was of the serial plate. For some reason I can't post pictures now, I've posted them on here before.

You'll like the Onan, got a serious deep bark and I swear it lugs better than a Magnum 20.

Thanks. I'm north of Topeka. Yes Oak I know, I'm trying to post pictures, I'll keep trying. I got one to load but the rest won't. I'll try again in the morning.

How do you resize pictures?? I did one but can't seem to do the rest.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
