Default NOS Decal

Just got the NOS decals on the 1872. I was never sure if the texture was from new or from age. Looks like they are textured from new.

Yes they are and nobody makes them that way now or the correct color. Looks great Charles. You find all the good stuff, steering wheel caps and now decals.

Just picked up a couple sets of the 12" rear hub caps. Took a long time to find them. 8" are everywhere 12" very hard to find.

Sam as you know that was my dilemma last month, to keep or sell since I really don't use them anymore. The 1872 is probably the nicest of the bunch. But I hated those new vinyl decals. I am glad I kept them. Now they have a new home where all are together instead of different sheds.

They look great Charles. Did you use any additional adhesive?
I have a set of 1810 and 680 NOS decals and they are textured also.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
