Default Tis' the season, a pair of 169's

Well, kind of. A young man let me know where these 2 were at as I've been searching for years, and it just so happens they were at the same place. I couldn't get a hold of the owner through let go so I found him on FB and sent a message (from my wife's account as I don't have one) About a day later he called back and we made a time to meet. About a 2 hour drive to the west coast of FL with my 5 year old chomping at the bit.

Both have the correct kind code and started life as 169s. One has a k241 transplant, the other with correct 16 horse, both have lights. One is manual lift and the other is hydraulic lift, both said to run. Got a deck and (2) 75 lb wheel weights plus extra tire/rim. One has the big air cleaner but both missing the right muffler, ugg. My son loves the one with ridiculous stacks and the "tink tinks" as he calls the rain flaps. Brought my 4 wheeler and ran the winch cable into his back yard as it wouldn't fit through the gate. Pulled them out and onto the trailer. I guess I had to join the club as so many others scored Cubs/attachments recently. Paid a fair price for both so I think I made out good. Thanks again Mr. P, I owe you a PBR.

Sounds like a killer deal to me. I like how you went prepared to tow them with the 4 wheeler. Good plan.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
