Default Using my 3225 for snow removal

Hello again folks!

Its been a busy few last months, I am looking for some knowledge from you guys. I am wondering how well the 3000 series tractors handle with snow plowing. I'd love to get the 45" snow thrower but I cannot find any on eBay or Craigslist, I'm looking at getting the 352 blade. I live in MN and we get on average 4-6" of snow when we get a storm. How much snow can the tractor and plow handle up to? I'm debating between the blade or getting a cheap used walk behind snowblower. We also have a gravel driveway if that makes a difference.

I use my 3205 for snow removal with a 52" blade that I retrofit from another unit to work. The tractor itself does really well. It's all about traction and weight distribution. The power steering and lift combined with the foot controlled hydro make snow removal very efficient. I have a gravel drive as well, I just set the blade to only take the snow down to about 1/2" from the ground and it does really well.

If you had the power lift and angle combo that would be even more ideal.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
