One More...
Well, I found a good deal on a 147 in my area so I picked it up. Needs some work, but it's got solid bones. First item of business will be a wiring harness cause this one is rotten, like is prone on the 6/7 series. Then I need to find a lift for it. This one had been removed at some point. PO said he would let me know if he comes across it somewhere. It was given to him by a friend after being in storage for 5+ years. Has the sleeve hitch, spring assist, and all the lights are there. Here's to hoping I can make it nice again

Nice find sir lancealot,
You will be able to find a regular lift arm easier than the Elift which can be pricey. Hydro lift would be betterer.

147s are awesome. Love mine. A PO had removed the e lift way before I bought it and had installed an armstrong lift (manual) that works great. I went and put a spring assist on it and it helps. I'd love a hydraulic lift but everything I've read says that the 147 frame is slightly different than the narrow frames (not counting the cut out for the flywheel) so drilling of the frame is necessary for the hydro lift.

Tis the season. Your brother is right, lots of people getting rid of stuff for good deals for extra Christmas money. Can't say I haven't done it myself

Tim, I don't know if the other series tractors are like this, but I know all my tractors have the holes pre-drilled from the factory ( on both sides no less!) That's all 3 of my 125's and my 72. When I put the hydro lift on 125 #1, it was an easy bolt-on affair. I have a 107 frame kicking around, I'll see if that is pre-drilled or not.
