Default Plow lock.

I wasn't real happy with the way the plow was attaching to the 1050, it seemed like it could be easily ripped off so I made these brackets that go over the pin on the plow and bolt to an already existing hole. I've had plows come off in the past and this will hopefully eliminate that issue.

If that breaks something more important is coming with it. Well done.

Kewl! My blade on my 147 has the QA as well, but the bracket that mounts to the tractor is long enough it has a hole in it that lines up with the frame so I bolt it just for added insurance.

Look good Tim. Ironically I was using mine on my 128 to level out a compost pile this weekend and it came off while trying to drag some stuff away from the fence in reverse. Guess I needed those. My QA lever spring is apparently broken or gone because the engine vibration makes the lever come down and unlock. Good idea you have there

After the pics were taken I was able to get a pin through the hole for a little extra insurance. This tractor is going out to my mother in law's which is pretty far from any tools, I'm just trying to make it as reliable as possible. When I finally get the plow on my 1211 I will be making another set, hopefully that will be real soon.

Tim, did you tap the upper hole for a bolt or just a bolt with a nut on the back side?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
