K series engine cup pulley question for KT 17

I bought a new K series engine cup pulley yesterday. Are they all alluminum? I thought from some pictures that they were cast iron. Mine is not. Next question is the one I bought has a small pin on the flat hub side which should connect to the crank shaft and be held on by a nut or bolt. Some of you on here said I could use one of these on my KT 17. Is that true and how would it work on my motor. I saw a engine manual for a KT and saw a pulley like this, but appeared to mount differently. Any ideas.
