What's it worth in your opinion if it's running and fully operational as seller says. The owner was using the tractor to push cars into his service bay.

Thanks, looking into this for my son to cut the lawn and have a little fun pulling at local events. I know the hydro is not the desired tranny for pulling, but the owner has been pushing cars so I'm hoping it will perform okay.

Hey, got the 1977 CC 1650 with 44" mowing deck for $400. It runs and the kids are having fun. Mowing deck is fully operational and looks to be in great condition. The engine needs a little TLC; head gasket, muffler, isomounts, lower grille screen and air filter. Let me know if anyone out there has the parts needed for sale or willing to send to a 13 year old kid.
Big push bumper has since been removed. https://www.dropbox.com/s/3w02ro1048...l1600.jpg?dl=0 |

Thanks! Turns out it is a 1979 CC 1650, both the tractor chassis and Kohler engine records indicate both were made in 1979, the chassis was in July of '79.
I discovered the engine moves a little when I push on it, this can't be good. I know the isomounts need to be replaced, but it appears the engine is moving independent of the two rails with the isomounts installed. I do not know if a little engine movement is normal and intended. Can you clear this up for me? |

to bolts have most likely loosened or fallen out where the rails bolt to the oil pan, its a pretty common issue and most people solve it by replacing the aluminum oil pan with a cast iron one. there's also a mod where you connect the two rails together by welding a piece of steel between them.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
