Default Large wheel weights!!

Picked these up weekend before last, they weigh 175 lbs apiece. I'm a little skeptical about mounting them. They do not fit all the way against the lugs, and not sure if they will bend my rims. What do you think?

Wow, 175 lbs. each???? That is probably too much wt. for that transmission. What are you mounting them on? Most wheel weights are between 25-50 lbs. each. Who did you buy them off of, Arnold? What are they made of?

If you used all 4 bolts they'd probably be alright. I wouldn't worry about 175#/wheel...most CCs with loaders have a lot more than that on the rear.

Hey Fishman1978
You are probably right. You better just let me come and get them, that way you don't take a chance on tearing anything up :biggrin2.gif: I will try them on mine and let you know how it goes

But seriously those are beautiful. I have never seen a single set of wheel weights that big.

Thanks all for the advice and offer to try them out for me!:biggrin2.gif: Bought them off of a guy in southern IL. He stated he had them on a 1450 for a couple of years and had no problems with them. They are cast iron, and have no hole through them to access the lugs. The mount holes were full of dirt and were pretty rusty, so I cleaned them out, soaked them in Kroil, and ran a tap through them.

Now have to decide which tractor to mount them on:biggrin2.gif:

Also picked up a 1650, and 2 782's, an IH and a CC. The IH has a KT17 that is locked up and the cc was a 782D that he pulled the D out of and repowered with a M18S.
All 3 tractors have issues, got the 1650 running after a carb rebuild and timing set, but has a little rod knock. It is in the repair process now.

I don't know much about the Kohler twins, so the 782's are on hold for a little while.

Pic of the 1650 with K341 on hoist. The iso mounts were so worn that the engine mount frames wore into the cross brace for the front axle mount,

Will try to get some pics of the 782's up later this week, will be away for the day, have to take the wife for a medical procedure.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
