Cub 1250 hydro cooling fan
I need some help, the cooling fan on my 1250 is bad and needs to be replaced. the only way I can see to replace is to move the engine forward or remove the rear end. A lot of work for a small part. Does anyone have a different repair process?

You need to remove the engine to inspect the mounting hardware anyway, the ql tractors are known for the engine mounts going bad and the bolts falling out of the oil pan.

Get the factory service manual. Available here as a download in the manual section.
Replace it, get one at your Cub dealer, it is a necessary part. This would be an ideal time to clean the hydro fins and check for leaky valves. It's all detailed in the FSM and no, you do not need to remove or unbolt the engine but that is one way to do it if you are going to inspect the engine mount and cradle.;

I have seen 2 piece fans and fan mods but I must agree with the seniors.
