I'm restoring my 102 and undecided what paint to use. My local NAPA carries Martin Senour paints and can mix custom also. Saw they stock gallons of premixed factory IH yellow enamel http://www.martinsenour-autopaint.co...rcial-coatings. Or, I can have them custom mix. What is your opinions?

I use Martin Senour Cross Fire paint on my IH Cub Cadet 100 and 70. I used Cross Fire paint on My Project Uncle Dick Cub Cadet 70. 7 years ago and have a IH Cub Cadet 100 that was restored 9 years ago. The paint on both looks great.
I used the paint chart that R Bedell posted.

Napa 99-3857-L (actually 99L-3857)
99 represents Martin Senour acrylic enamel L is the price code (L is the cheapest to mix btw) 3857 is the mixing formula (this number will change according to color) If you use Crossfire the 99 will change to 53 but everything else stays the same. Crossfire is much better paint than its price would lead you to believe. Not all stores mix both as most of the toners are different. I have painted 3 race cars with Crossfire and was happy with the results. If you decide to go with the more expensive Martin Senour paint it will give you noticeably better results. As with all paint brands, don't deviate from the product data sheet recommendations and you will be fine.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
