Newbie here from Pleasant View, TN. Found this forum while looking for some insight in to a problem I'm having with a "New-To-Me" 3240 CC with 54" deck & 42" hydraulic tiller attachment and thought it to be well worth my while to become a member since I now own two CC's. Just recently, (last week) bought a low hours(336) 40th Anniversary Model and have discovered an unknown at purchase issue with it barely going in reverse and it is now going slower forward after tilling today. If anyone can steer me to the correct section of the forum to discuss the issue, I would appreciate it. Didn't find anything specific doing a search under 3240. Looking forward to being a member.

Sorry, I do not know anything about those cub cadets. Your reverse and forward problem sounds like a clogged filter to me, so if you transmission has a filter on it then you might try replacing that. We are mostly into the older cub cadets (IH 1979 and earlier), but there are some fellas on here that have some newer ones and others who have varying backgrounds in mechanics that will hopefully be helpful to you.You can try posting in these areas: http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/f...splay.php?f=42 or here.... http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/f...splay.php?f=10 Looking forward to seeing more of your posts and pictures of your cubs!!! Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
