Default Playing in the sand box...

Well father bought himself a "new" 2012 Cat 320E excavator. And with the road limits on yet he was stuck "playing" behind the house in the pit...
Glad to see the ole boy is still enjoying life at 76 years of age. He says he's never retiring, well till he has too.

Yeah it's clean, only has 8?? hrs on it.
Traded in the smaller Cat ??? and the bigger Deere, figuring he don't need two any more.
I NEVER had a chance to operate one. Back when I was walking all we had then for "digging" was a American dragline and John Deere backhoe, that was 30+ years ago.

Nice looking 320 MR. Todd. I see it also has hydraulics for stuff like a Hammer.

Very cool Todd!

There is a local guy here who has an excavation business. He's been an "old man" since I've been alive. Still runs Cat's everday. I can't remember his exact age, but he's close to 90. He bought a new one not long ago and I asked him if he was going to keep working long enough to pay for it. He chuckled a little and said, "Well, I've bought a lot of Cat's. I've made a good share over the years and I figure it's the last one I'll ever buy." I'm sure he wrote a check. Glad to see your dad still at it at 76. My granddad is about the same age and he can't do much anymore. I think it's because he stopped doing it everyday. All the "old timers" tell me the key is to never stop moving till you die!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
