Well then I went drove this thing around after figuring out the wiring issues. I found the tractor goes faster in reverse then forward but I try to adjust linkage and nothing changes. I also see that the valve on right side as you sit in Seat has a slight leak. could that cause my problem.

What would happen if you were to swap the valves left to right and right to left?

haven't swapped them yet. sam I don't now if it ever been a part I got it second hand from one of the guys on here and he took it to a shop to be checked and they said it was good pump. but I don't know if they took it a part. I know that they put one seal in it and it the out side one on input shaft for discharge pump SU-9008000-6201 part number and number 27 on look up sematic.

If they changed the trunnion seals as Kelly said they may have put the swash plate in up side down. The swash plate has a lug on the back side to limit how far it moves in reverse. Upside down would limit forward.

I never had one a part. how much fun is to take it apart. so is any way to tell for sure with out taking it a part

Only goes 3/4 up the slot maybe in forward and reverse goes alway end of slot

Pretty sure someone was inside that pump and put the swash plate in upside down. Read up on how to rebuild the pump. The info is in the service manuals for most of the hydro tractors. It's not all the difficult to do just take your time and make sure every thing is absolutely clean.
