Default NF PTO set screws

Been trying to yank the PTO clutch off my 125 and not getting anywhere. The Allen wrench isn't biting on any thing and I am beginning to wonder if someone tried to drill out the set screws before I got it. Take a look at the pics and see if you agree. I really don't want to drill and easy out the darn things.

That can't be a pic of the set screw. They are down a hole.

That is a picture down in the hole for the set screw? Are we seeing the same pic? That looks to me like a rotted off top of a bolt, not a pic of a rounded set screw down a 1/4" hole.....

I'm not convinced that you are working in the right place.

Is that the basket pulley in the top half of the picture?

If it is, is that a crack in the basket on the left side of the hole?

If it is, you may be better off to cut the basket, then bend it back, so you can take the lock collar off the bearing and remove the pto (bearing and all).

That should make it easier to get the set screws out.

Can you get a picture a little further back so we can see a little more of what you're dealing with?

Sorry I did only attach the one, figured you would want a close up shot as opposed to the whole basket.

The pics uploaded sideways so.... the basket is on the bottom of the pics and the set screw holes are dead center.

Yeah, the pictures are too close, we can't tell what we're looking at.

One bad i think your in the wrong place, the set screws are in the clutch ,cast part, the hole is a notch in the eadge of the basket .may have to turn clutch inside the basket by disengage the clutch to line up set screw holes.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
