This thread may belong in the "What's It Worth?" section of the forum. I would say that the oil bath air cleaner for an O is around $60....sometimes, $50 and sometimes $70, so I took the arithmetic mean of the two. Basically, you fill them with oil and as air gets sucked into them on its way to the carb, the particles in the air which are heavier get deposited into the oil, hence the name oil bath-air cleaner.

That is probably a fair price. I got the impression that they were worth a bill. Anything is , of course, worth what someone will pay. I just sold my NF Hydraulic Lift for what I was asking. I didn't make anything. I didn'tlose anything either. I did however sell it to someone who will put it on the same model tractor I was going to and do it right. He may even join occ.

$85.00 is ridiculous for one. $50 to $60 is fair and plenty for one. Take your time and you'll find one for that or less. Don't forget to get the little brace that goes on top. Good luck

It's not like those oil bath air cleaners are growing on trees, the harder they get to find the more there worth.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
