I am looking at 1872 with a Johnson loader in good shape. He wants me to make offer. In the back my of mind, is $2000 to $3000. I'm not sure, no 3 point.

Depends on condition and hours. Mid to high hours (1000-1500+) and in average shape (some bits of rust, things work but could be cleaned up/better) I'd say $1000-$1500. In good shape with average to low hours (800 or less) with good paint, things work, no leaks, etc I'd go as high as $1500-$1750ish. Just depends on what it's worth to you and where you're located.

I think the loader is between $1000 to $1500. Then the tractor on top of that.
$2500 on the high (retail) side. $1500 on the wholesale side (what I paid for my 149 with the Danco loader) So I would split it and say $2000 as a starting point. Loaders arent that plentiful. |

I'm with Yeeter. The loader & the 1872 are worth about the same $1000 to $1500 each, so you are correct too. That looks like a nice loader, hope you get it.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
