There's nothing like your first....tractor. That's how it all starts, and it's all down hill from there

I'm already obsessed. I've actually never restored anything in my life so this will be a new adventure. It better be worth it because my wife is thoroughly pissed that I brought it home.

If she is anything like my mothership, she'll come around. Maybe.. Mine helps me now.. She almost talks about them more than me.. Nice 70. As others have told me.. Bag and label everything. Have fun, and welcome.

Great tractor, especially for your first.

Do you get angry with your wife when she brings home something new that she collects, shoes, purses, nick-knacks?

Tell her that you'll sell the tractor... But the time and money that you would have spent tinkering on the tractor, will now be spent in girly bars.

Lmao! No I don't get mad a bit when she brings her stuff home. In fact I support it and often buy it for her. Ah it's a girl thing

I think this will be helpful. Thank you. I'm tearing down and labeling as we speak. The little thingy do dad that a blade would connect to was put on with miss matched bolts so it stripped out and I'm having a hell of a time.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
